Discounts You Can Get as a Student
College students are known for having very little money and if you’re like most college students, you will want your money to be able to stretch as far as possible. Did you know that there are several businesses that will give college students a discount on their products? Below is a list of some of the businesses that will give students a discount.
UNiDAYS is a resource that helps you find stores that offer student discounts. When you sign up, for free, you can get discounts with every brand that Unidays works with. You only have to create an account and verify that you are a student once.
Clothing brands:
American eagle will give students a 20% discount. H&M you get 15%. At Adidas, you can get a 10% discount. Check out the Unidays website to learn about some more of your options for clothing. They have several. Next time you need a new outfit, be sure to use your student discount!
Technology:
Apple offers students, parents, and teachers $100 off of products that are bought for education. Be sure to use their education page to make your purchase and get the discount.
Microsoft Office is available to students of BYU-I free of charge. You can either get Microsoft office for one device with a code or on several devices with Microsoft office 365. When using the code, you will have the software on your device for as long as you have the device. You can get access to Microsoft software on a subscription basis for free but only while you are a student.
Best Buy will send you special student offers through your email. Sign up using your .edu email and you could save money on laptops, tablets, headphones, etc.

Food:
When going out for a meal, a lot of restaurants will offer a student discount. They don’t always list what that discount is online but you can ask if they have any when you go in to order your food. Be sure to always have your student ID with you and ask at the restaurant if they offer any student discounts. Burger King offers a 10% discount with a student ID. McDonald’s will give you 10% off of any meal. Cafe Rio will give you a taco for $1.95 if you show your student ID not to mention it’s a great option since it’s right next door to Sunrise Village.
Subscriptions:
Spotify Premium has an offer for students that is half the normal price and includes a subscription to Hulu. In your first month, you can get a free trial. Then after your trial students only pay $4.99/month.
Amazon Prime offers students a 6-month free trial. After the trial it is half price, making it $6.49 a month. An amazon prime subscription includes free shipping, prime video, prime music, prime reading, and even prime wardrobe. To learn more about these visit their website.
